Wash Day

"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." Psalm 51:7

A perfect, balmy Summer's Day. The bees were teeming with industrious, happy activity.
"Blue sky's expanse stretched out before You, Puffs of white wrapped in trillium hue"...

An old French homekeeping secret- drape freshly washed linens over a lavender row to dry. Sleep under sheets smelling of fresh air and lavender...

A fuzzy honey-colored gentleman exits to the right of the stage- back to his work of extracting the sweetness from the bloom! These pictures were taken in our small lavender field behind the herb garden. The lavender varieties planted here are: Sweet Lavender, Grosso, Loddon Blue, and Royal Velvet. A personal favorite is Loddon Blue, for it's sweet scent and intense blue color. Wish you were able to enjoy the smell. If Earth is so sweet, what must HEAVEN be like?
